Festival Team

International dance festivals take place all over the world, bringing nations together for a week or two to dance, sing, eat, and fraternize. Gary and I participated in these festivals in our younger days, and wanted the same amazing, unique opportunities for our own children. So we decided to form a Festival Team, selecting our best dancers to create an American show expressing our fun-loving, upbeat cultural heritage.

Our repertoire features a respect for our cultural roots as well as a desire to please and entertain on stage. Among our 24 elite dancers are some of the country's best cloggers, including Pro Male and Jr. Female grand champions, but we also train our dancers in regional and national folk dances to present a well-rounded and accurate historical review of the traditional dance styles of the United States. Our show reflects our diverse heritage, ranging from Hula to Charleston, Hoe Down to Hip Hop, Southern Waltz to Lindy Swing, as well as the numerous forms of clogging. In our choreography we strive to be both entertaining and historically insightful.

2011: Idaho International Music and Dance Festival Host Team
2012: France and Spain: representatives of the USA at the Rouergue International Dance Festival in Rodez, France (touring Paris and Barcelona as well)
2013: FolkFaro and Viana do Castelo Festivals in Portugal
2014: Summerfest in Idaho
2015: FFIR and the Confolens Festival (one of the most prestigious in the world) in France
